Superior Diet and No More Skin Rashes

When you get healthy, good things happen. Sometimes it’s obvious. Scott lost 250 pounds. You’ll notice that! But for Jodi it was different. She had chronic skin rashes all over her back, until she improved her diet and starting living better:

Unfortunately, I slowly lapsed back into my old sad habits, living a frantic, restaurant hopping, stressed out life in Manhattan. By the time I turned 50 in 1999, now living in NC, I was covered from head to toe with psoriasis and tested positive for other autoimmune diseases: rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, Hashimoto’s and Sjogren’s.

In my quest for improved health, I read Dr. Fuhrman's book, Fasting and Eating for Health. The book has a chapter devoted to autoimmune conditions. I have followed his eating plan since 2001 with much success. I experience skin–flares up only when I stray from Dr. Fuhrman's eating program…continue reading.

I have to say that from personal experience, I "cured" my Graves disease with the antiinflammatory diet that Dr Fuhrman recommends. And I corrected a hidden vitamin D allergy as well through proper supplementation.
That said, I had another client who i was working with on extreme weightloss- she was over 300 pounds She adopted a mainly ETL diet and her husband did it along with her to show his support. Well, long story short, this guy was plagued with psoriasis for the majority of his life and had been on every med known to man including steroids and methotrexate-- all to no avail. Guess what? His skin really cleared up when he cleaned up his diet and focused on the veggies. Woohoo!! Veggies rule!!

Thank you so much for posting these pics and the story. I just LOVE Dr Fuhrmans views of proactive preventative medicine and it is a RELIF to see someone who has done what I only hope I am strong enough to do and had success. I hate psoriasis....but thinking I have had a hand in it getting worse (external stress not included!) makes me determined to do what I can to get rid of it and this helps a lot...especially since my dermatologist said "diet has nothing to do with psoriasis, you will always have it".
