That is a sin. Really. I think it was in one of John Robbins' books that I first read these statistics. It is shocking and, again, shameful. This should bother every single person, especially those in the richest nations.

The U.S. is facing a water crisis, drought in the southeast, depletion of the Ogalalla aquifer, every drop of the Colorado River spoken for, and for much of the country, a warming and drying on the horizon. But I think I see an easy way to save water, decrease GHG emissions and live longer all at the same time, from just making one choice.
