When first switching from a SAD eater to following the E2L program, juice and smoothies were a vital part of transitioning for me. I found it easier for my digestive system to adapt to consuming such a large quantity of vegetables if I incorporated green juices and smoothies. Previously trying to increase my vegetable intake left me gassy, bloated and miserable, causing me to really struggle with this way of eating. Now that my system had become more adapted, juice and smoothies are a much smaller part of my diet, more of an occasional "fast food" than daily meal.
