Veggies: Tasty, Easy...

Okay, I’m no artist. Honestly, I’m not even that bright, but, inspired by last week’s fruit chart, I whipped up my very own veggie chart. What do you think:

No doubt, DaVinci is spinning in his grave, but, how did I do with my veggie placements? Mind you, these are just my opinions.

Awesome little bit of artwork Gerry. But how can the onion stray so far from the garlic. Aren't they blood brothers?

Hey Henry-

Boss. My brain hurts...

LOL!

Peace.

Aside from the onion placement (which is totally a personal taste thing, I gotcha), I think you did a bang up job!! :-D

p.s. I completely agree re: dandelion greens...good for you, but bitter!! *shudders*

Hey Lilly-

Yeah, dandelion greens are certainly an acquired taste.

As for the onion, I'm beginning to disagree with myself over its placement. I think at that point the fumes from the magic markers were getting to me. :)

Peace.

Kale's not tasty? You need some new recipes.

Gerry Pugliese - March 13, 2008 11:06 AM

Hey Sara-

I love kale prepared with stuff, I ranked it based on it's solo taste.

I'm more of a spinach, bok choy, cabbage, collard greens guy, than a kale guy.

LOL. That being said, I have some kale in my fridge right now. ;)

Peace.

I'll take kale over collards or bok choy any day. There'sa kale thread over at the members center.

Nice -- although for me, onions should be at the top of the tasty axis! Can't get enough. Haha. But what's the criteria for the Easy/Difficult axis? Cutting/preparing? How could peas be so far to the difficult side? Unless you're talking about shucking freshly grown ones, then I agree there. But there's not much easier than throwing some frozen peas in a recipe.

And having jalapeno so far on the easy side? I'd argue having to watch with getting it in your eyes, dealing with the hot seeds, etc ... make that one much more difficult than most of the others.

Great job though Gerry! :-)
