Tasty broccoli only $0.55!

 

 

More broccoli for $0.46.

 

 

And very ripe bananas $0.50.


Final total just $1.51. How cool is that!

Now that's a thing of beauty. Broccoli is always great and I go through bananas like crazy. Awesome.

Hi Gerry,

I'm pretty frugal in my ways but those bananas are looking a little past their best. Often I get great bargains on bananas like you which are considered 'seconds'. If I have too many at once I freeze the bananas. I peel them then freeze them in a container. I use the frozen bananas in smoothies or to make banana ice cream using a food processor. I just add some other fruits or even silverbeet or spinach.

Hey Peter-

Nope. The bananas were in good shape. When they're really ripe and you put them in the fridge, the skin gets dark, but inside they're fine.
