A pretty good role model right here—don’t you think?

Ironically, the news people were giggling about his diet. I liken it to people laughing about the dangers of cigarette smoking in 1950, little did the public know the real dangers. There was an article in the LA Times about his life and his diet a few weeks ago. He eats pretty much 100% ETL, nothing processed not even oatmeal and absolutely no meat.

of couse, if he improved his diet (ate more animal protein), his genetically gifted physique would look even better than it already does.

Biff, you obviously do not know the little fact that per calorie eaten; Broccoli will give you MORE protein (per calorie) than beef.

Secondly; if the guy is doing this for 20 years with this diet and gets these results, it is time for you to reexamine your belief system and load up on some less than well known facts

The television piece SAYS he eats "nuts, beans, fruits and vegetables", but that doesn't mean that IS what he eats. I didn't hear HIM say that's what he eats. And let's not be naive -- people lie all the time, for many reasons or none at all. That's one of the weaknesses of anecdotal evidence like this (and even of nutrition studies that rely on food diaries). Furthermore, although he LOOKS healthy, this doesn't mean that he actually IS healthy. This slight story means absolutely nothing at all.
