I think they look ready now. So try one and tell us how it is. Even though you have tomatoes from the farm.

Yeah, actually I just picked them and ate one.

It was kick ass! To be honest and not to blow smoke up my own butt, but it was amazing!

I was going to say the same thing as Sara, glad you went ahead and picked them Gerry. Actually, being that i am some what of an ole farm boy, i would recommend picking them as soon as they start changing colors, then let them sit and ripen on their own. That takes stress off of the plant and allows the plant to actually produce more. The red color of the tomato can also work as a "neon light" to draw in unwanted insects sometimes. I think thebayougardener you had a link to once has a video discussing this as well. Great job!

Yup, several people told me the same thing. I picked another yesterday and devoured it. And tomorrow I should have another!
