- This sounds a little gross, but Millbrae, California’s Water Pollution Control Plant has recycled 1 MILLION gallons of used kitchen grease; The San Mateo County Times reports.
- According to The Daily Mail, drivers in England could face FINES for letting their cars idle while stuck in traffic. Officials suggest shutting off engines to reduce emissions.
- Berkeley, California has approved city-backed loans for homeowners who wish to install solar panels on their houses. The loans would be up to $22,000 apiece; more from The New York Times.
