Cool Tomato
Today’s the last day of summer and it sure FEELS like it. The weather was much cooler this week than last week and my tomato is taking it hard.
Green tomatoes took longer to turn red and even the leaves are getting a little crinkly. With fall FAST approaching these might be the last days of my heavenly tomato.
Although, my mom told me a good tomato plant can go well into October. So, we’ll see!

If It looks like there will be a freese at night then pick everything. The ones that are at least light green can ripen inside. But today it will be warm.
Hi Gerry
My friend's parents were from the "old country" and they had a low tech method to extend the season. They would put large pails of water out near the plants, the water would heat up thru the day, then slowly release the heat overnight. You are also near the house which should help fend off the lowest of the overnight temperatures. Good luck!
Cheers, Steve
