Five cucumbers $1.00.
This week's total, just $3.21. Italians from Jersey always have a stockpile of zucchini. It's a must!

I'm a little confused about priorities. Is it maybe better to eat fresh, conventionally grown produce than past-it's-prime organic? Isn't there some breakdown in nutrients - I know there is for taste and texture. And old cucumbers? Maybe for soup, but definitely not for crunching.
It's not such a great price if you end up composting half of it.
Hey Nancy-
If the stuff was passed its prime maybe, but this stuff is fine. I wouldn't buy old nasty fruits and veggies.
Peace.
