On Manager's Special 3.23.09

Some ripe nectarines $1.29.

Random pepper slices $1.00.

A squash and some zucchinis just $1.00.

Grand total, just $3.29. Not to shabby.

Nectarines are great and since I'm pretty stocked up on veggies, I'll give the rest of the stuff to my mom. Just trying to stay in the will!

Once fruits or vegetables are cut, the antioxidants begin to lose value. This defeats the purpose of eating healthy.

Hey Foodaroo-

That's a pretty loony statement. Using that logic you'd never eat fruits and vegetables.

Is it ok if they are not organic?

Gerry there's no telling how much money you've been saving by taking advantage of these specials. Kudos.

Stay well Gerry.

It is my understanding that when you cut into something like garlic, you actually increase its nutritional value.

Still, I am not sure I would want to take home, say, apples that have already been cut, they'd be pretty brown ;-).
