The DiseaseProof Mission
This website serves as a forum to promote discussion on health information to help people understand how to take control of their health through nutritional excellence. Joel Fuhrman, M.D.
Joel Fuhrman, M.D. is a board certified family physician who devotes his career to applying the comprehensive body of scientific literature that establishes that disease has known nutritional and environmental causes. His methods and practice is devoted to removal of cause and establishing the optimal nutritional environment for healing, thus allowing our body's self-reparative and self-protective functions to be maximized. He advocates a diet-style with a high nutrient-per-calorie ratio and typically recommends the judicious use of nutritional supplements to assure nutritional adequacy.
Dr. Fuhrman does not encourage the terms alternative, complementary or holistic as he sees managing lifestyle to maximize health, pleasure and longevity as the foundation of good medicine; it is the way healthcare should be delivered. Medicines and surgery are the second choice.
Dr. Fuhrman does see patients in his private practice in Flemington, New Jersey a few days a week and also offers phone consultations enabling people to seek his guidance from across the country.
Joel Fuhrman, M.D. has discussed the benefits of good nutrition on Good Morning America, The Today Show, the Food Network, CNN and the Discovery Channel. He regularly addresses conferences, college campuses, newspapers, magazines, and radio talk shows across the nation.
